Blog post 3 - How Can You Provide Meaningful Feedback to Your Peers?

stay positive
After watching the What is Peer Editing? video. I have realized that peer editing means to peer edit someone your own age, always stay positive and complete the three steps when editing. You must use compliments, suggestions and corrections when editing someone else’s work; and keep in mind that you should only make suggestions to the things that needs to be corrected. Do not correct things just because you think it sound good to you; some people may not like that and would dislike you because of it.
The Writing Peer Review Top 10 Mistakes video was funny. The thing that stood out the most to me was being mean and picky when peer editing. You are only to make suggestions and corrections that need to be made such as grammar, punctuation, sentence structure and spelling. Always stay positive and be respectful of others work and do not make them feel bad because of some suggestions/ corrections you have made.
After watching all of the videos What is Peer Editing? Peer editing with perfection tutorial and Writing Peer Editing Review top 10 mistakes. I have learned that when peer editing you must stay positive and do not force anyone to change their paper just because you want them to. You are there to make sure punctuation and grammar are correct. If you don’t care about the process then you won’t care about the persons work. Always remember to be respectful and positive of someone else’s work.
